1969 Rawson 30, heavy Bluewater cruiser with lots of head room and space. She has had hundreds of hours of work done and has quite a bit of new/upgraded equipment. She has a few more projects that need completed before she's fully restored and ready for the open ocean, but she's well on her way to being an excellent boat whether you're looking for a liveaboard option, Bluewater sailing, or a fun weekend cruiser. Most of the outstanding projects are just cosmetic and/or don't affect her sailing ability, but there are a few that need done to make her more convenient to use.

There is an optional sublet available.
She has been upgraded with quite a few items that together are probably worth more than asking.

New/Updated Equipment
• Suzuki 20HP outboard with power trim and tilt and remote gear box, new 2019 (cost $4,000 USD). Maintenance last completed Aug 2022
• New standing rigging, 2019 (cost over $1,000)
• New running rigging Singlehanded Hardware (lots of fancy new lines, deck organizers, Garhauer clutches, 4 co*ckpit Winches two speed winches, Main cabin self-tailing winch —boat is rigged and ready to sail!)
• Sails: Mainsail in excellent condition that prior owner found at an estate sale and fit the boat almost perfectly. Used but nice tan bark jib, added new hanks. Deep footed asym in good shape.
• Harken mainsheet traveler system, new 2019 (around $500 value)
• Used jib tracks and twin lead cars installed 2019
• Re-wired electrical system (gear worth about $1500, BlueSea distribution panel with ELCI and selector switch panel together worth $1,100)
• Re-wired mast
• All Hardware reset and deck core reinforced with epoxy DRY NO drip leaks 2021.
• Whole bow recorded in 2018 with Coosa board
• Exterior hull completely refinished in 2021 with new fiberglass and repainted with red Cukote antifouling. All prior damage sanded and refinished. Spray foam injected for water tight seal.
• New bronze thru-hull transducer installed 2019
• New 2019 Mantus anchoring system including 35LB anchor, bow roller, swivel, anchor mate (over $600 value)
• Vintage Simpson Lawrence windlass in great working order (beautiful, super strong and oversized for boat—these go for $500 on eBay) with 400’ 5/16HT chain and another 300’ nylon rope
• Danforth stern anchor
• Avon inflatable dinghy (old, but handy!)
• Used radar, was working when removed from friend’s boat, needs to have an 8pin connector soldered onto the coaxial cable that needs to be routed through the mast—I routed a tracer line for you. Radar mounted with new Scanstrut mount.
• Raymarine electronics: C80 Chartplotter, mounted on RAM swing arm, includes Van Isle and Bahamas chart chips. Raymarine radar display unit
• Uniden VHF radio
• New DC/USB outlet with DC amp meter
• New Dometic sanipottie in the head, 2019
• Mainsail cover was replaced with a Mack Pack in 2021. Works beautifully with the installed lazy jacks. Has a matching tiller cover.
• Tiller Hardware and Arm replaced in 2022 - varnished ash and hickory wood
• New co*ckpit storage hatches installed in 2020
• New teak and acrylic companionway hatch built and installed - could use some paint to finish but sturdy and works great
• Previous owner installed new cabin cushions, countertops, and flooring
• Previous owner installed 20gal stainless diesel tank in stern lazarette

Projects still needed:
• Interior and Exterior of boat needs refinished and painted. Showing clear signs of wear
• We have some new and beautifully varnished 7-loop teak grab rails for the deck but they are not yet installed
• The electric wiring has been run, but needs to be hooked up for power.
• There is an old non-working Volvo 2002 diesel engine that needs replacement or repair if you want a functioning inboard motor. (The outboard has been fine for us!) The previous owner flooded it and it is not running. We've received conflicting reports on whether it's likely repairable or not. If not, some of the accessories can be sold for a few hundred $ each on eBay.
• No running water but there is a faucet, and previous owner said stainless water tank is still good. There is a Shurflo pump that may or may not need rebuilt
• Dickinson Bering stove is solid but we think it needs a carburetor replacement (about $150) to get it working.
• There is a portlight that was removed that I have not yet been able to put back in all the way. I think gasket needs to be soaked in hot water to make it more flexible. No known/noticeable leaks.
